Card Swaps

3rd Quarter swaps are done! Come to our Class Kickoff for future dates & themes!

Make 16 cards featuring the month's theme, then get together with other card makers to swap cards and techniques. You will leave with one card of each design - this is a great way to round out your card collection and get new ideas to implement on your next project! $5.00 per person.

Copic Techniques: Fall Into Copics

Thursday, Sept. 23rd
10:30 am - 12:30 pm or 5:30-7:30 pm

copic flower card Join Kamila, Certified Copic Designer, as she covers basic coloring techniques using fall color schemes. You will learn the basics as well as what inks and papers to use to achieve the best results. These aren’t your Grandma’s markers! You will be amazed at the way they blend and color without streaks. Four cards will also be created using your new skills and A Muse images and supplies. This is a fabulous opportunity to ‘play’ with these versatile markers. This class is best suited for students who have basic stamping experience. $20.00 per person.

Beginning Scrapbooking

Wednesday, September 15th 5:30-7:30 pm

What is scrapbooking? Why should I scrapbook? How do I get started? Which tools are the most important? How are these tools used? This beginner’s class answers all your questions on the hobby of scrapbooking and will get you started creating a basic page layout. $12.00 per person.

Intermediate Scrapbooking - "Take It Up A Notch"

Monday, September 27th 5:30-7:30 pm

Learn the principles of design structure to give you the tools to create dynamic layouts every time. In this intermediate class you will discover how photographs, journaling, titling, enhancements, lettering, and color work together for great pages. This is a great class for those of you familiar with scrapbooking but are ready to take it up a notch. $14.00 per person.

Microsoft Word is the most used word processing program in the world, but have you ever thought of it as a useful scrapbook tool? Join Missy for Text Techniques and see how easily you can add fresh printed elements to cards and pages. We’ll explore the use of fonts, text boxes and Word Art, and show you how combining those with traditional elements of scrapbooking can create an eye-catching look!

Receive a free font CD (formatted for Windows users) in each class – CD will include 20 fonts great for titles, journaling, and embellishments. Level 1 class will include a binder and handouts. All consecutive classes will include handouts covering class information.

Must be familiar and comfortable using Microsoft Word
Level 1 is a prerequisite to level two.
Levels 1 and 2 are required before taking Graphic Greetings.

Photo Editing with Picasa

If you're looking for an easy way to edit and organize your digital photos, joinMissy as she walks you step-by-step through the Picasa program. Picasa, available as a free download from Google, makes it easy to instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your computer.

Missy will show you some quick and easy edits that can drastically improve your photos - cropping, straightening, removing red-eye, and retouching blemishes. Learn some tuning techniques to adjust the color and lighting aspects of your photos to produce a more visually enhanced image. And of course, we'll play with some of the fun effects Picasa offers to make your photos more interesting: sharpen, convert to black and white or sepia, warming photos, applying tint, and more.

Picassa logo Experiment with six different collage types Picasa offers and learn how to easily upload them to your favorite online photo store for printing. This is an intermediate level workshop.

Computer knowledge required. Take home a step-by-step instruction manual for easy reference. $25.00 per person.

Scrapbook Superstore would like to reward those of you who are such loyal participants in our classes! With every class you purchase, you will receive a punch on your Frequent Class Punch Card. Teachers will give you a punch after each class, so hold on to your card and be sure to bring it with you to every class. After taking 10 classes, you will be eligible for one free class (value up to $20)! Crops, organization seminars, and card exchanges do not apply towards a free class.

Class Policies

Pre-registration and payment are required for all classes. You can pay in person when you register, over the phone with a charge card, or by mail with a check (class space will only be reserved once payment has been received). Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of class time and class refunds will be store credit only. We reserve the right to cancel a class due to low attendance. A refund or credit toward another class will be given. Classes are best suited for ages 10 and up. Please note - babies and small children are not allowed in the classroom. We recommend Beginning Scrapbooking before taking any class. Call us today at 608-833-6300 to reserve your spot!
